Cork: Not Just for Floors
Most people, after doing a little research, realize that linoleum (Marmoleum, Marmorette, etc) is “green.” That is, made from rapidly renewable resources. Cork flooring, too, is made from a somewhat rapidly renewable resource. It comes in several thicknesses and installation methods, and it’s applications can be many and varied.
This flooring mechanic has installed it on counter bar tops, stairwells and, of course, floors. The insulating qualities contribute greatly to sound deadening as well as energy conservation. It contributes to LEED certifications, leading to further economic savings.
As you are considering the possibilities for your home decor, keep cork in mind for more than just flooring. Picture it on walls, certain countertop applications, and maybe even ceilings.
So, create your own personal environment, express your individuality.

Oh I simply love this, would love this in my home, but how the devil do you do it. I’m in England – can you help?
